Welcome to Tyra's Blog

Tyra is a very brave 3 year old girl from the Isle of Wight who
has stage 4 Wilms syndrome (if you want more info there is plenty on the net), This means that she has a tumor on her right kidney (well there's no kidney left it's all tumor 11cm big) and also cancer in her lungs. Here on her blog you will be able to follow her progress and if you would like you can help her parents Vicky and Steve with the huge costs related to her treatment, you can help by using the donate button to the right.

All went ok on Wednesday, echo was clear so that's great and she'd put a bit of weight on which means the feeds are working. Chemo has made her tired but she's still smiling.

Pictures from the football 07.11.10

Still in st marys but getting narky now as apart from a temperature which is up and down there doesn't seem to be anything wrong. Football match yesterday was great! Tyra loved taking the match ball out onto the pitch, unfortunately she couldn't stay too long but she watched the first half and was glued lol. Thanks go out to all the players and everyone who helped especial thanks go out to Jamie bray and Dan Scott who organized it, brilliant day had by all.

In st marys hospital, temperature kept coming and going then got high so had to bring her in. Will be here for at least 48 hours now incase she has a blood infection, hopefully it's just a virus as stuck in for 5 days if it is her blood. Still hoping to make an appearance at the football on Sunday but will have to see.

Had a quiet few days, blood test yesterday she had low platelets and was still neutrapenic, so they've just done another test as possibility of her needing some platelets. Had a slight temperature over night so keeping an eye on that at the moment.
